BTW looking at those HR numbers, I am even more amazed. Forbes Field has never been a batter friendly park, I am not sure about your new ballpark the Three Rivers Stadium.

No. OOTP is calling Joe Ferguson a catcher but he's the starting CF. OFers Bob Oliver and Bill Robinson are more 1B/3B than OFers. I probably should have changed their primary positions for clarity.

Do you sometimes change the order in your pitching rotation during the season?

As for your bullpen, I see that you have one LR, two MR, one SU, and one ST. I guess that the ST is used 8th or later & close game, while the SU is like 7th or later, right? Do you also limit the pitch counts for your starters?

Rotation is highest rested and manager makes the decisions.

What I do on bullpen depends on comparative talent. I often have two designated ST with High Leverage secondary role.

I usually don't use pitch counts.

This sort of question is often asked in posts in the general discussion forum. I don't understand the relevance of the question. There are a few RPs who are really good about getting batters out, so few that I don't see any ability to be selective about how they do it.

There are also questions about things such as obtaining a traditional lead off batter and matching ground ball pitchers to a good middle IF. These things are all outside my experience. I look for players who can play and haven't encountered situations where it's possible to look for specific characteristics as the primary criteria.

So I can't answer the question because it's not in my experience and suggest you look at the threads in the general discussion forum.

Always a question in saves involving this era is how is Sandy Koufax doing? The development engines has kept him a star.

Do you think that with the dev. engine off he would have already retired? In such a case when IRL stats are not available for the 3-year recalc the dev. engine takes over the ratings, and if it is disabled, then ratings would degrade over time?

Do you know if dev. engine on the player can learn other positions earlier than with only 3-year recalc? There were some stars like Pete Rose, who started as infielder, but later switched to outfield.
