starting goalie inconsistency

does anybody else have issues with their starting goalies almost always playing terribly? it seems no matter who it is, any 4-5 star goalie I sign to be my starter is constantly giving up 3-4 goals on the first 10 shots of the game and posting sub-50 game ratings. last two seasons with NYR my 2 star backup has totally outperformed my 4.5 star starter, and it seems this happens every play through, at any level

am I just exposing my goalies tactically or does anyone else notice this?

Probably need a little more info to provide any insight. What are the team like in front of him? What tactics are they playing? What are his ratings? How are the rest of the goalies in the league playing? Does a lesser goalie perform any different? How often does he get rotated? Does he play fatigued?

Don't think I've ever seen a goalie with a consistently sub 50 GR.

also, what is the consistency value set at for the goalies? 10?20?

I'll have to look into what the consistency attributes are but I'd be suprised if every top goalie I've signed in almost every playthrough has low consistency, and besides, the stats/performances that I view in their histories when choosing to sign them seem to match their talent, but once they put on my jersey it all comes apart

I'll see what screenshots I can find and post but I simmed through to a new season after Shesterkin gave up 9 goals and posted a 14 GR in his final game, which led me to rage-trade him and go to the new season lol

Jesus man show your team. Do you set tactics yourself or have HC? What average save % are we talking about here? Goalies GSAA?
