transferring between computers - what am i doing wrong

this seems so simple, yet i always have an issue.

I have a Macbook Air and a Mac desktop.

I play mostly on my desktop but am traveling for three weeks starting Friday and want to bring me current save with me.

I backed up the current save on my desktop to a thumb drive. I then went onto laptop, copied save onto the laptop. (I'm using an updated 24 game on each)

I restored from backup on the laptop, seemling with no issue. Got the Restore Successfull! message. when I then load the save from the restore, I get all sorts of error messages about the World file being corrupted. It says its going to try and fix it for me, and I get the same message.

I've tried with multiple thumb drives -- does anyone have an idea for a solution?

While I will survive without my current save on my travels, I'd much prefer to have it.

The backup may only be saving certain files and not all of the files..expecting the existing league file to be available.

To use a league across multiple machines, I would recommend just copying the full .lg file from your Saved Games folder instead of using the Backup options.

Edit - The backup files may work once you have an existing league in both locations, but I would at least recommend copying the full file the first time and testing the backup from there.
