Traded draft picks get shifted to next year

This first happened in a historical season starting in 1994-5. I performed the steps below in a new 1994-95 historical season to see if I was crazy (save uploaded as Akaitstsu Test 1994 Trades.lg.7z). I tried again with a 1993-94 season and ran into the same thing.

New Historical Game
1. Start Year: 1994
2. Enable Historical Editing: On
3. Name: Test 1994 Trades
4. Everything Else: Default
Challenge Mode: No
Set Up Manager
1. City of Birth: New York, NY, USA
2. Start Reputation: Well-known Nationally
3. Everything Else: Default
Game starts, accept an offer from whatever team (Ottawa in my example)
Look at Depth Chart - 1994 picks show up even thought there is no entry draft
Make trade offer to get some picks in the 1995 draft, but make it easy for the other team to accept (I offered Alexandre Daigle to Boston for 1995 Round 1 and 2)
Opponent accepts offer, so Complete Trade
Look at depth chart, new picks show up as 1995
Sim to last day of 1994-95 season
Sim to Entry Draft
Look in Depth Chart and draft picks shift to 1996 (you might have to save and close, then open it back up again if you go through all the above steps)

I have screen shots of the trade offer and acceptance as well as the depth chart before/after. I tried to paste them here, but I couldn't them to show up.

Yeah, something's wrong there. I suspect it may be related to re-loading during draft day; if I just continue without reloading after the year changes, it seems to work properly. We'll try to see why it's doing that.

That's at least part of it. I went back to a backup of my original game from 1995-06-23 (uploaded as Golden Dragon 94.lg 1995-06-23 Post Playoffs.7z) and simmed up to the draft without reloading. The 1995 draft picks didn't move to 1996, but the 1994 picks were still there. When I tried to do the draft, it seems like it was using the 94 picks as it wouldn't let me pick in New Jersey's place even though I owned their 1995 pick.

Anything new on this issue? If it's something I can avoid with the right settings, please let me know. It must be something I am doing weird since it doesn't seem like anyone else is having the problem.

Did anyone ever figure this out? Is it still an issue in FHM8?

This is still a problem in FHM 9. If I restore a save from June 30, it still happens. I don't expect any attention for this since you've already moved on to FHM 10, but I can upload a save on request.
