FA Signings

I expanded my league and after the expansion draft I went through the process of signing free agents to fill the minor leagues. Several of the players I attempted to sign replied by saying something like we were to far apart in previous negotiations and they refuse to talk further. The problem is I have never negotiated with the players. Has anyone else had this happen?

Has your Assistant GM been offering contracts possibly?

Not that I know of. I will check and see but I wouldn't think so.
