Winter Meetings and Trade Volume

I never see any increase in trade activity during the Winter Meetings. I do see a lot of activity as soon as the Off-Season starts, but I attribute this to the player ratings recalculating.

Has anyone ever noticed this about the Winter Meetings? I normally set Trade Activity to "Average", but I've recently started setting it to "Low" for the Offseason (b/c of the recalc spike) and then jacking it up to "Very High" for the 4-day Winter Meetings. After that, I set it back down to "Average" until the next offseason.

It's gotten to where I can't wait for the Winter Meetings to start because I know that **** is about to go down, lol.

Are you using historical minors?

If not, one potential problem might be that if there are not any minor leagues/prospects so that may be limiting the types of trades that are possible.

In this situation, no I am not. But I have played with minors before and don't recall an increase in activity during the Winter Meetings.

I suspect that there's no artificial bump in AI trading volume during the Winter Meetings like there is in the two weeks before the trading deadline. I see a ton of activity then!

But I can artificially account for it so it's not really a true bug, imo.
