Franchises relocating, disbanding, reviving
Wanted to try a fictional league based on the real-life history of various baseball leagues in North Carolina.
Starting in 1897, teams and whole leagues came and went (and sometimes came back, only to go away again). Would love to replicate as much of this as possible. Just wondering how to handle issues like these in OOTP. For example: * In a four-team league, one team folded after a month and another team took its place a week later. Can you work that into the game? * In some years, there are no games played at all (WWI and WWII, etc). Do you just not create a schedule for those years? * Many times, a city's franchise would fold only to revive years or even decades later (sometimes with the same nickname though not always). Should I just park that franchise in a "dormant" league and bring it back to main league when appropriate? Or should I just create a new franchise altogether? Can multiple franchises throughout the history of an OOTP world have the same name and/or nickname? Thanks. There has been a lot of professional baseball in NC. Just never an MLB team. It has been fascinating to research. Look forward to putting this into an OOTP dynasty
