Help - Selecting Stats Year

I am looking to set up a game for 2024 season but would like to use 2010 or so stats calc. Goal is to have SP stamina be more like that period where 6-7 innings is common, use a 7-man bullpen and 25-man rosters.

Is there anything I should be concerned about in doing this at game start? In other words, I would launch a 2024 game but change year under Stats & AI to 2010, then auto-calc, right? Is that going to throw anything else into chaos within the stats models and mess up the game long-term?

NOTE: I would probably lock the stats rather than have them evolve over time.

You'll have a 2010 like league. I've never noticed anything unexpected with doing those kinds of tweaks. I personally force the trend for MLB to be like 1987 forever. But everyone has their tastes.

Thank you. That is what I am trying to confirm, that I will not end up with any weird outliers because I am doing this the day before a season start.

I like this idea too. But I never understood if I needed to recalculate before every season. Or is it just a one time thing?
