Service Time For Fictional League
So I have a 70 game a year fictional league. What would be an appropriate amount of services days to accrue 1 service year? Right now I have it set at 50 days. Thoughts?

I usually look at the schedule I'm using to see how many days there are and then lower it by 10ish%.

This is something I noticed last year and persists this year. Even if your fictional start up has a shorter season from the creation wizard, the service time issues are a complete disaster that compromise the league's functioning. You'll have dozens of 23 year olds with 4-5 years service, etc. etc. A flood of 24 year old free agents. 25 year old AA players with multiple years service time, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that. For long term saves, I've literally edited a bunch of players in commissioner mode or simply simmed into the future when service time has had a chance to normalize over time before taking over a team, but it shouldn't be hard to have the game naturally adjust to the start up settings. |
