Player development without financials
Continuing a fictional save with historical players (imported from random eras). No financials. Just drafting and trading. In 1885 right now.
I have a pretty stacked team. But I am mediocre in games, and I've noticed my players tend to development in the wrong direction (i.e. they get worse). Just wondering if I am missing something as far as hiring the right coaches/scouts and if there is some player development aspect I am not paying attention to. Maybe my players aren't good after all but my scouts think they are? Thanks for any help you can provide. It just stinks to keep missing on players who I think are going to be good only to see that they are average or worse... Is it just a crapshoot without financials on?
