Historial Franchise/Draft

I played through the 1999 season and when I got to the off-season, the draft pool was empty. If i bought the future seasons (2000 on) would the draft pool be populated with real historical players each year?

If so, I'd be inclined to do so but wanted to make sure first in case it was just a bug or something. And will purchases in OOTP24 transfer to OOTP25?

Thanks!

If you check the box that says, “Disable automatic creation of free agents and fictional draft class,” AND do not have the following year purchased, you will end up with no draft class. So yes, your best option if you want to keep real-life players you need to purchase the next season (or just purchase the entire pack). It actually works very well either way.

What I don’t know is if you can buy 2000 now and have it work. I haven’t tried that. I guess you could try (it’s 99 cents) and see.

Thanks! I'll probably just buy the 2000's bundle and see if that works. Just wanted to make sure it was possible to have real historical players in the draft first

Yes, the first time I did it I was not sure if it would actually work or not. Pretty cool when you get to the draft, though, and you see all these historical players. I think one of the coolest things about the game can be using development rather than actual stats and seeing how things play out. Definitely gives you a sense of the gray area GM’s work in when drafting.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying (turned on development and turned off the adjustments to real stats). With no minor leagues in the historical leagues and just the reserve roster, do you know if prospects will develop while they're just sitting on the reserve roster?

They do develop and you will see the ratings change. Just don’t have statistics.
