is this considered fair

if I disable my finances would that be considered a fair game? I want to win but then i could sign anyone but isnt that considered cheating? Does that make the game fair? please give me your opinions?

Maybe instead of disabling the entire financial system, just disable parts of it. That's what I do. I don't do Super 2s, FA compensation, Qualifying Offers, Postings, Purchases, I keep thinking I should disable Draftee Negotiations but I don't. If you don't want to deal with stuff that's not fun, I get it, neither do I, so don't.

If it makes it for your team to win the pennant most years then in my opinion it would be unfair but it is really up to you of course. Maybe you could make some house rules to make it more even.
If I win the pennant I usually put the AI in charge of the draft and no trading until a season I don’t win the pennant.
It’s up to however you like to play.

Super 2s are FAs eligible for arbitration before 3 years. It consists of some players with over two years of MLB experience but less than three. See the Arb and FA sections.

I suggest that instead of concentrating on financials you click on every tab and look at every choice and start selecting options that make the game easier. Like get rid of the psychology, get rid of coaches, edit your market share and fan loyalty up so there's more money, get rid of storylines, minimize TCR, set trading to easy, get rid of owner goals, check can't be fired, and edit your owner to make him financially generous and hands off. Maybe even make scouting 100% accurate and set the AI evaluation settings to 100% stats. You'll see the reality of the player and AI will see noise.

Then if you ever get bored with winning all the time you can re-enable some of the features.

Why do people use different players, different lineups, different strategy, development, talent change randomness, and the development lab, but judge the game on whether it produces historical statistics?

I agree with what Brad K said, and as for where, click on your league's Name, then League Settings, and then Financials is where a lot of that stuff is, but, like Brad, I'd also recommend going through each of those settings screens and determining what you want each set to.

I'd even recommend going so far as creating an electronic file noting what settings you changed, what you changed them to, and maybe even why you changed them. That way when you create a new league you can easily recall what you did and why, instead of going through all those decisions again later.

You'll probably need to reference the manual a lot as it likely won't be apparent what a lot of the settings do and while OOTP25's manual isn't up yet, just use OOTP24's (the manuals don't usually change a whole lot between versions).

Going through that process can be a bit of a slog, but it should help you create the best league you possibly can for your own preferences. You'll also probably learn a lot about the game you might not otherwise. I've certainly learnt a lot about it by doing that.

If you don't want to deal with the constant hassle of free agency, just switch to using the Reserve rules. Players are then on your team until you release or trade them.

You don't get to determine their salary, however. That is automatically calculated by their ratings, so you probably will still have trouble affording a super team of all all-stars.

Thanks for the information; I also want to know it. I have solved one of the problems I was talking about related to essay writing. I have found this https://lastminutewriting.com/assignment website, which helps us with everything related to writing, like essays, assignments, term papers, and many more. I have used them, and trust me, they are very good at it. and the price is also very cheap if compared to others. If you also need help, you can go to their website.

Maybe you can help me. I'm playing NYG in a league that started 1919. I'm not using rookies on historical teams because I don't want to just (mostly) replicate history. But I just this year discovered that if I simply make offers to the best 50 or 60, I get almost all of them. I can solve this with a house rule--I'm going to immediately release most of them--but I was wondering if there are settings that could get somewhere in between.
