Multination league question

Trying to make a european hockey league in custom with different european teams. Wondering the smartest way to do it with foreiger limit in mind. Tried different tactics. Latest is main nation as greenland and limit 8 but ended having to much greenlandish players in example for team tappara and other. Tried also region europe at large, ending example with german having more players from rest of europe than germans. Trying that teams would have mostly own nation players. Wondering what would me the best nation/region to use? Will also add all big european nations own league on the side with european hockey league. Would that also help? But critically need the best nation/region solution for the issue

First, for the league country choose the country where the largest number of teams will come from, e.g. Sweden. Do not set a region. Then, set the foreign player limit at 8. But also set the option called "Max Foreign (Foreign Team)" (Rules tab, top-left, just below the foreign player limit.) That allows you to set a limit that's observed by teams that aren't in the main country. Set that to 8 as well.

With that setup, you'll have mainly Germans on the German teams, mainly Swedes on the Swedish ones, etc., with all teams having access to up to 8 foreigners.
