Thomas Van Cott Sketch

From the 'Jim Creighton Poster,' this sketch is almost certainly based on the photo of him with the Gothams in 1856 which I posted a while back. This means that the sketches of all the players in that photo are likely all drawn from photos taken before 1865, which would make sense given that Creighton died in 1862. Sadly, there does not appear to be any existing photographs of most of the players who appear on the poster.

John Crum, Brooklyn Eckfords

I don't have a year for when he played but likely the early 1860s and/or late 1850s if I had to guess. This image is, yep you guessed it, from the 'Jim Creighton Poster.'

Joe Leggett

The reason i did not post his picture from the poster is because i already posted it earlier with all his photos earlier in this thread. Just search his name in the thread and you should be able to find it.

Matthew Yorston, Cincinnati Live Oak, 1866

Also listed as 'Matt Yorston' in some sources, this image shows him in the Live Oak of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Live Oak uniform. It is from a clipping that also featured Charlie Pabor in his Unions uniform and Mort Rogers in his Resolutes uniform, both of which I showed earlier.

William Rufus Wheaton, New York Gothams/New York Knickerbockers

William Wheaton supposedly drafted the first set of rules for the game of baseball in 1837 and founded the original Gothams club then. He also served as vice president of the New York Knickerbockers in 1845.
