Facegen picture crop bug

Hello,

This happens to me in every single version of FHM and it never seems to get fixed. Doesnt matter steam for fastsrping versions. My team facegen pictures end up looking like this... see attachment. How do you fix the issue with the top and right angles of the pictures getting cut out. For someone who really likes asthetics this is killing me. If I regenerate it does nothing...

Why can't this get fixed?

Thanks - Scott

I’ve never seen that one. Normally for me it eliminates 3/4 of the photo. When that happens I have to exit game, then delete the offending photos in my saved game folder and then restart game. Normally within a couple restarts it seems to work.

But for that right there, I’m not really sure.

Yeah first it was just a few but now its every picture because I assume with the aging the face gen gets modified. LIke I said I don't know why I always have this issue. I don't do anything special or different.

Yeah, that's not the bug that only shows 1/4 of the image, I haven't seen it crop an image in this way before. In Start Screen-Settings-Facegen Zoom Mode, which setting is it on right now? Does this happen every time you start the game, or is it only some of the time?

Hi Jeff,

Yeah so far it loads like that every game. Here is the screen you wanted attached. If I do go into the player/coach and "regenerate same picture" it goes back to normal and seems to stay that way. Every single team player facegen is messed up like thid and I dont feel like do that for every single one.

Try going through the 3 Facegen rendering mode options. Do any of those change it?

I think we're going to need to have a look at a trace file to see if we can spot anything unusual there:

In start screen-Settings, go to Troubleshooting and click on Enable Debug Trace. Exit the game, then restart it and load a save where you're seeing this, and then exit. There should be a file named fhm_trace.txt in the \debug folder (\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 9\debug). Copy that and paste it here, or send it to me via PM or at jeff@ootpdevelopments.com. Hopefully there'll be something in there that'll tell us why this is happening.

Both the players on right are missing 3/4 of the image.

That's the facegen bug I get about 1 out of every 5 times opening 8. Haven't tried 9 yet. To fix, exit game and go to deleting the offending photos out of your saved games player_pics folder. Then restart game. At most it normally takes me 2-3 times for it to fix itself.

Yeah, that's the regular facegen bug, not what Northernsky is getting. I got the trace file, couldn't see anything obviously wrong about it at first glance but I'm going to get Sebastian to take a look.

If you want my save let me know. It's something that looks like most are back to normal but it changes when I clsoe and re-open the game again. This has happened to me with every FHM version I've used so I dunno maybe its something with my computer.
