Player Contracts
This is my first season with OOTP. Plan to play the decade of the 1970's. A little background - I will not hold a draft; players coming up will go to their original teams. Fictional players are allowed, as well as trading. (Not an exact replay) I only created AAA and AA minor leagues, and you must be 20 to play in the big leagues. ( I have a few players below 20 and they cannot even be traded at this time) Not sure if this is a good save for a decade play. One thing I noticed is - it seems ALL player contracts for ALL teams say - SIGNED THROUGH 1970 (arbitration). I assume that I will need to re-sign all players (and other teams will have to do the same). I haven't found much info in this area. Can this all be done during the off season, or should I work on it now? Half way through 1970 season. Any insight for a rookie on handling this area of the game would be much appreciated.

Click MLB on the menu then League Settings then select the Financials tab.

Then players get automatically renewed. You don't have to do anything.
