Making the right choices for pitch by pitch

Hi everyone
When i moved from OOTP 22 to OOTP 25, some of the upgrades have thrown me, particularly the pitch by pitch control of game play. I have attached the screen shot here.
What is the best strategy here? I never know whether to take or swing or any of the options for pitching and I am so wracked with indecision it takes some of the fun out I must admit.
Is there a way to disable this and just have it be like it was in 22 or do I have to keep simulating the games to get past this?
thank you

If you are manager assign pitching strategy to the bench coach. If you are GM assign it to the manager.

Yes.

On batting there's another choice where you can set it so it runs the count up to the pitch of decision and then you can call plays.

My current method of "playing" games is I only control substitutions.

i dont remember it being different in 22? Maybe it was.

If you just want to simulate the at bat just click the "at bat" button on the right. Are you looking to just simulate the plate appearance or do you want pitch by pitch control? and if so just do what the above poster said. it is in the options before you start the game on the screen where it shows your lineup it gives you game options for subs, pitching, baserunning, defense etc. on the left if youre away and on the right if youre home.

It's on the beginning of the game screen.

And by game screen he means the screen that pops up when you first select to play a game between 2 teams. Like Brad, I only control my substitutions.

Thanks for clarifying what screen I meant.

Glad to see someone else playing this way. I thought I might be the only one!
