Roster Update from Season to Season

1970's Decade save. It is January of the off season between 1970 and 1971. I am managing the Pirates. Just completed the draft. However, I cannot find a couple of players that I thought I would see. For example Rennie Stennett. He was not in my minor leagues AAA or AA during the last season. He was not in the draft / He is not on any other team roster, and he is not showing in any of my minor league teams now, A/AA/AAA. He was apparently on their opening day roster in 1971, but not 100% sure. Is there any kind of roster update that happens at the beginning of Spring Training? I was surprised to see some players in the draft, such as Bruce Kison, since I know he was on their roster (in real life) prior to 1971. (drafted in 1968) But OOTP draft is called 1st year player draft

You talk about expecting Stennett to be assigned to your team and then talk about Kison being in the draft. So how are you playing? Draft or assign players to historical teams?

It is a draft, but only started in 1970, the first year, and there was not a draft to start the save. I guess I expected players previously in their minors would be on the team, but I suspect now I was wrong. I guess that is why Kison was in the draft. But if Sennett was in the majors in 1971, Just wondering where he is? Still trying to learn the ins and outs of this game. I actually had a decent draft, but I may go to a backup and use the assign players to historical teams. That was actually the original setup, but I guess it maybe somehow defaulted to draft when I upgraded from 24 to 25. But since the draft came up, I just ran with it.

If you are playing without full minors then Stennett should show up for the 1971 season either on the draft list, a FA, or assigned to the Pirates organization.

If you are playing with full minors then Stennett should show up in 1969 as one of those three.

If you think you should have him on the Pirates and you are sure he is no where else in the game then import him.

No idea why he isn't in the save, however, I never move an existing save to a new version of the game.

So, I did the search as suggested by Bobfather, and found Stennett. He is not assigned to a team, maybe because he is only 19 and demanding $120,000. (My league is set up to not allow players in the Majors until age 20, but they can be on minor league rosters). It is the first day of Spring Training games at this point. Tried posting a screen shot, but not sure how to do it using IMAC. Took the screen shot but can't seem to paste it.
