Old save
I have an older save I want to restore and I’m not sure what version it is. It could go back to 2018. Chow can I tell what version it is?

So you just have a copy of your .lg folder but nothing else? Well, I suppose you could rule some versions out by looking at the latest modified date. For example, if the latest modified date is 2023 then you know it can't be for OOTP25. Then just install the latest version of the game it could be and then test it out.

Exactly, I have the .lg folder and I’ve tried pointing a few versions to it with no luck, it just says to copy the files in so isn’t seeing them. I’ll see what I can find…

Make sure you're putting the .lg folder in the correct saved_games folder. It might not be where you think it is.
