Logos for my rather large fictional World Baseball League...

I had big plans for this sunbathing lemur. I thought maybe I would try to put a catcher's mask and pad on it somehow. My full drawing of it it ended up sitting on a throne with a mystical tail ouroboros behind it. Eventually I ended up with this somewhat-sane face-in-a-circle. The border was supposed to suggest the ringed tail, but then I put words in it.

Nailed it once again. My favourite is the third I think. I really like the letters on the interchanging lines look. First one probably my second favourite due to the tail as border thing as you say. Small ones all perfect, will probably use first one to match the colour scheme the most. Your 'face on a badge' series is great! I have another bird request when you're ready, but you already have enough of a backlog so I'll save it for now!

Well in that case, I was thinking of renaming the Medellin Monkeys, who are essentially just called that because I like @low's Monkeys logo and it illiterates nicely, but it doesn't make much sense for them. I have always wanted a woodpecker themed team, and it turns out these lovely birds are endemic to Colombia and so seem like a good option. So, the Medellin Woodpeckers. They have quite distinctive colours on their heads, so could be a face on a badge situation, or could be doing more obvious 'woodpecking' on a tree? You're the mastermind!

Maybe a woodpecker pecking a bat????.... Now I'm the mastermind. I also would love an Idaho Owls logo at some point, but was thinking the Topeka Owls one for that as you know, and that's not a face on a badge one at all, so maybe it can coincide at some point with this woodpecker pecking bat idea?

I tried to get simpler, after some disastrous attempts at drawing primates (I also traced three woodpeckers, but I'm at a plateau again and nothing I draw looks right to me right now). So I tried to model from old knuckler logos. I made a scalloped border out of the star tool (it's a 20 sided rounded star), got a scallop off the wikipedia article, and approximated your colors. I think it's better with the darker ones.

Fabulous! I agree, the darker is probably better as it's clearer, particularly at the smaller in game sizes, but I do like the washed out more pastel version too - particularly the small logo. In my head their kit is maybe more of the pastel variety, with a bold logo.

I'm excited to get this expansion in the game. I make music (although not at the moment due to lack of time), so know a bit about what that plateau can feel like, but I bet the stuff you're making is better than you think it is. If you're anything like me you'll probably open it up in a few weeks and think, 'actually that's better than I remember it being...'. Regardless, this shell logo is perfect, and I thank you for indulging me again on another random team of mine!

I updated my Portland Whales, so here are your Melbourne Whales, the waves at the bottom are the south border shape of Victoria, so that little dot is the bay where Melbourne is located

I saw your Portland updates, thanks so much for doing Melbourne too. The border as waves is such a good idea. I like the font here too, which is quite modern. The whole thing has a classic but modern feel not unlike that Sydney FC logo you love, in spirit anyway!

I feel like these could be refined. They grew out of the St Louis logos which I have just posted in my thread. I originally intended to draw a horse (too ambitious) but have instead used the silhouette from the emblem of Turkmenistan (ie the former dictator's horse). Not sure if it's better with the darker red from the emblem or the vermilion. Green is from the flag, could easily change the colors.

I saw your Flycatcher/Vermilion logos and absolutely love them. The St Louis Flycatchers/Vermilions have been added to my expansion list, I'll decide on the definite name later!

These are great too, really bold. I love how there's a definite style to the different 'eras' of your logos, it's making the logos in my league brilliantly varied. I've tried all these and I think my favourite is the first, which really 'pops'. I was thinking as a potential improvement maybe the 'A' shape could have the sides at a steeper slope, to make it look more 'A' like? This would mean making the Ashgabat font smaller as there'd be less room, but it could work. Just an idea - I love the colours of that one, so wouldn't change anything on that front personally!

I feel like I mostly struggle and hyperfocus with the detail drawing an animal, but some of the birds I just get right away. I think maybe because those birds were smaller and I didn't use outlines for the flycatcher that it worked? I just made some jagged lines and called them feathers I'll try again with that woodpecker

Very nice work on Ashgabat.

Very good color coordination... very good contrast... nice design, too.

Just a suggestion... use a light gray background on the primary logo.
It might improve the contrast with the red/black bird on the black background.
I prefer the white background over the black.

Edmonton Hurricanes will be joining the league in 2060, the Pufferfish in 2059.

I'll have more for the other 2060 expansion teams, but haven't worked them all out yet. Besides that, I'd love (all established 2040):

One for the Abidjan White Elephants - I have this cap (though I paid significantly less for it than that listing!!) and would love something heavily based on that (it could just be that), as a nod to the Negro League team.

Yangon Peacocks - go wild with this one - they're currently very colourful.

Managua Motmots (one for your bird series!)

Albuquerque Chiefs - this is a bit of a tricker one. In my timeline they are a completely Native American owned team, but I'm not sure what the logo should be?
