The AI suddenly makes trades for me

Hi,

the AI suddenly makes trades for me and puts players on waivers. Is this a new bug. I've never had that problem before.

Are you playing as GM/HC or just GM?

I would go to the 'Manager Options' screen and check that you have yourself in control of the transactions

No, im not in"Do Not Disturb" mode. My PC was offline while playing, is this a problem?

I had this as well. On Waiver day at the beginning of the season, the AI traded one of my players who was on waivers. I don't know if they were trying to avoid him getting picked up on waivers for nothing or not, but I was surprised.

I was not in DND mode, and have full control as a GM.

I am not against the idea of the CPU making a trade so I don't lose a guy for nothing, but I'd like a prompt to approve the transaction.

What was it for?

Are you in full control or have the Assistant set to do anything?

Did you use the Setup your Organization option?

Ah, I suspect that's probably the new system that makes the AI try to trade a player before potentially losing him via waiver exposure. Sounds like it may be affecting human teams when it's supposed to be AI-only, we'll have a look.

I am not opposed to the idea of the AI trading a player for me that I'd lose for nothing otherwise. I actually kind of appreciated it as I felt I got a good deal for the guy. But it'd be nice to get a prompt asking if I want the deal, or telling me why this happened.

I've tried this again now. There were only 2 star players and one 2.5 star player on waiver. The 2.5 star player was traded. I loaded again and brought the player into the active roster, but he was no longer traded.
That seems to be the problem.

This happened to me as well on "waiver day" when the goalie I signed over the summer for the specific purpose of being my AHL team's starter... was traded away by the AI for some meaningless draft pick.

Thankfully, I could reverse the trade in the editor... but this is something I really don't want to have to deal with.

On Waiver day at the beginning of the season, the AI traded one of my players who was on waivers. I don't know if they were trying to avoid him getting picked up on waivers for nothing or not, but I was surprised. I was not in DND mode, and have full control as a GM.
