For the Majors it was Harold Castro, Tigers & Yasuhito Uchida, Reds

The Blue Jays have climbed to #21 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Mike Trout homered and drove in three.

A pair of 8th inning bombs by Westhers Magdeleno and Reid Long dodged the shut out, but the Jays still fell hard to the Tigers, losing 8-2.

The Jays made it interesting in the 9th, scoring one and loading the bases, but the Tigers got out of it and won, 7-4.

Brandon Montgomery, Vancouver, got the award for the Northwest League.

For the Majors it was David Contreras, Tigers & Demi Orimoloye, Phillies.

The Jays dropped to #28 on the Weekly Power Rankings, ahead of only the Rays and Reds.

The Orioles struck early and just kept piling on. They beat the Blue Jays, 11-4.

That is five losses in a row for Toronto.

Tony Pina made his Major League debut, retiring all five batters he faced, including FOUR strikeouts!
