OOTP 25 Final Patch (Version 25.11.98) Available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 25 versions which were purchased directly from our webstore or resellers who use our Fastspring / QLM version. Steam users, please update from within the Steam client.

Hi everybody!

Thanks for the feedback on the public beta. We are releasing the patch officially, incrementing the build number to version 25.11.98. Unless any significant issues emerge, this will likely be the final patch for OOTP 25, as the development cycle has now concluded. We want to thank everyone for your valuable feedback over the past few months. We truly believe OOTP 25 is our best work yet, and your contributions played a key role in making that possible! Thank you

Note to online league members: This patch is compatible between versions.

Changelist 25.11.98:

• Adjusted Pitcher/Hitter balance on top prospect lists
• Fixed online league issue with contracts applied to wrong players
• Fixed Balanced Offense achievement
• Fixed player creation to create better pitchers
• Fixed historical pitchers importing with 0 stamina
• Fixed crash when importing historical minors in some leagues
• Fixed AI DFA/waiving just signed players when asking to set up organization
• Slightly reduced talent change randomness
• Slightly adjusted pitcher velocity decline in player development
• PT: Added button to export leaderboard to csv
• PT: Fixed card list updating when sell card immediately for top buy price
• PT: Added error message when limit of server-saved rosters reached for tournaments
• Misc bugfixes & tweaks

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Previously, if you were in the card shop and used the "Sell now for X" drop-down option for one of your players, the card list/orders wouldn't necessarily refresh correctly.

Most likely we won't have any changes on that for now, but will keep an eye for the future.

Markus and the team take a lot of flak for PT but their support for the core game is tremendous as is the game.

Maybe I'm wrong but the sky boxes folder in the ballparks misc folder looks empty. I don't see any sample pictures of the various skies.

FYI we have noticed some potential issues in online leagues with player contract handling on import. We had hoped to fix it in the above patch, but in some cases it seems to be leaving things in a slightly inconsistent state. We are investigating, and will release an update early next week. The issue appears to be related to team imports and contract offers. If you do not see problems with teams showing pending contract offers in their budgets that exceed the actual contracts, you should be fine to proceed. If you are seeing issues, you may wish to either go back to the previous patch or proceed with caution until the issue is resolved. Thanks for your patience.
