FRBA - has 1 opening
FROZEN ROPE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
Opening for the New York Yankees. The objective of FRBA is to have a competitive and enjoyable league. We are in the middle of the 1949 playoffs so it is a good time to jump in. The New York Ballclub finished with a record of 91-71 for second place in the Atlantic League North Division. The Yanks have three big time starters in Brian Jeter and Roger Paredes and this year’s favorite to win the CY Young award in the Atlantic league Seisuke Gushiken. On offense the leader is Bill Lillie whose season consisted of 40 HRs, 108 RBIs, and 113 RS, to go along with a .409 OBP and an OPS+ of 177. The Yankees have a good solid ballclub that should compete for playoff spots for the foreseeable future. The league has 20 years of history (AI driven 1927-1947) mostly with ‘fictional’ players but starting in the 1930’s the Amateur draft was cut over to use ‘Random’ Historical Rookies from 1901 to 2023. The modifiers for the league are set to the current year with some small modifications and tweaks. Currently there is a mix of fictional and historical players and as the league goes forward it will eventually become full of random historical players. Game Settings
This off season we will be adding a Winter Development League as voted upon by the FRBA membership. It will be located in Australia and named the Down Under Development (DUD).. Schedule will be approximately 45 games. We will also be performing a major expansion after the 1951 season. Opening for the Washington Senators The objective of FRBA is to have a competitive and enjoyable league. We are at the start of FA in the off-season so it is a good time to jump in. The Senators are led by Starting Pitcher Walter Johnson and Third Baseman Bill Guenette. The league has 20 years of history (AI driven 1927-1947) mostly with ‘fictional’ players but starting in the 1930’s the Amateur draft was cut over to use ‘Random’ Historical Rookies from 1901 to 2023. The modifiers for the league are set to the current year with some small modifications and tweaks. Currently there is a mix of fictional and historical players and as the league goes forward it will eventually become full of random historical players. Opening for the Kansas City Athletics. The objective of FRBA is to have a competitive and enjoyable league. We are at the start of the 1950 Pre-Season with Spring Training just ar ound the corner. The Athletics finished with a record of 81-81 for third place in the Pacific League South Division. The KC Club has three quality starters in Robert Thomas, Josh Orlowski, and Tom Seaver. Mookie Betts leads the offense along with third basemen Bobby Drummond. The farm system is stocked with future stars Mike Easler, Joe Judge, and Charlie Leibrandt. The league has 20 years of history (AI driven 1927-1947) mostly with ‘fictional’ players but starting in the 1930’s the Amateur draft was cut over to use ‘Random’ Historical Rookies from 1901 to 2023. Opening for the San Diego Padres The objective of FRBA is to have a competitive and enjoyable league. We are just starting the 1950 Off-season, so it is a good time to jump in. The San Diego Ballclub finished second in the Pacific League South Division. The Padres have a pair of bashers in Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco, plus rookie Sammy Sosa. The clubs pitching is led by bullpen ace Kyle Olin. The FRBA league has 20 years of history (AI driven 1927-1947) mostly with ‘fictional’ players but starting in the late 1930’s the Amateur draft was cut over to use ‘Random’ Historical Rookies from 1901 to 2023. The modifiers for the league are set to the current year with some small modifications and tweaks. Padres are filled... we will be expanding by 4 teams after the 1951 season... (just finished 1950, crowned Houston Colt 45s as champs, and started off season)...
