But they must note that within a tooltip, help manual, or in game context?
They would be frustrating to invest time into playing historical with dev on and not know it gets wiped out at year end

Third Road to Release Video Tonight!

Tonight at 8pm, DrDynastic talks with OOTP President Rich Grisham about to talk the "Big Picture" of OOTP 26, what he's looking forward to this season, how important the community's role in OOTP is, the incredible partnerships and the moments that come with them, and plenty more!

I was completely underwhelmed. Touched briefly on 2 game updates, WBC, and Legendary players (PT?). The rest was Rich's stories about interactions with players. And it looks like that is the final road to release for this year. I was hoping for a bit more news.

More game info

This segment needed less about Rich Grisham and more about the changes/upgrades to the game

Where does he talk about WBC? I'm not wading through a 33-minute video just to find it...

Any chance of added rules for financials? Such as adding a salary floor/cap?

I don't use the 3d feature of the game, but I noticed at the 2:20 mark a routine groundball to SS with throw to 1B. Problem (at least visually) is the 1st baseman isn't touching the bag. Rather odd to see.

Very lackluster so far....As a avid historical player I truly wonder if 26 is really that much different than 25.

It's got the unaffiliated minor leagues from the start of the century! That's historical!

Or at least easily adapt the default stadiums.

I wish the game would include about 30 minor league stadiums of various configurations and styles. They could be real or fictional. Make them be 10,000 capacity or less with rural backgrounds or town backgrounds beyond the outfield fences. Bleachers that seat 20,000 and block the view of the towns should not be used. Create more generic signs on the outfield walls. Make them fictional to avoid any licensing problems. Don't include the OOTP sign. We already know the name of the game and have it. It is not very likely someone will see the sign while I am playing the game and buy it.
I would love this since now scoreboards will be working in stadium. The more customization, the better especially for those of us who expand the MLB or for those who do a completely fictional universe!

We've added actual historical pitching splits for all historical pitching seasons, as well as updated the batting splits handling as well. Also importing in some historical zone rating data to get better views of player careers.

Not to mention all the general engine updates and changes, to continue to improve regular ratings and stats output for everyone. Plus all the work on the Negro Leagues players, and their handling through history. There's always a lot of work in the historical side of the game.
