Cannot see personality details with scouting off

First thing I do in every league is turn off the scouting system in Global Settings


In OOTP26 when I look at a player page I can't see the personality details - it says "Higher scouting accuracy is required to know the specifics of this player's personality"


Can it be changed back to the way every previous OOTP worked where the player personality traits were visible with scouting off?

This is intentional, given that how things worked before was very unrealistic. There would be no way to know this in reality for a player you have limited scouting information on.

As you scout them and your scout learns more about them, you'll gradually be able to see their information. Alternately, if you turn off scouting, you'll be able to see this again. If it's not showing after that, you probably just need to run a re-scout of the league on the settings page first.

Scouting is off and this is what I see on every player page - is there another setting I need to tweak to make them visible?

I clicked the re-run scouting button but did not see any change.

I made sure the checkbox for "show player personalities" is checked in the Global settings, Players & Team page

You shouldn't need to do anything else. It's possible this is a bug when you turn off scouting, I'm not sure. We can look into it.

I'm playing using the standard 2025 mlb start and used default settings other than turning off scouting (and adding a $225M salary cap so my Royals have a chance )

I have also lost scouting traits. The first 6 seasons ran as Im used to. Then the draft came up and I lost everything. No matter how much I told my scout to work on a select few, I never learned their traits. I moved on and kept simming. When INTL Amateurs were revealed it was the same. Turning scouting off shows scouting accuracy as 100% but still no traits show up. They are listed as Unknown and require higher scouting accuracy. Bug maybe?

**edit** user error. My scout retired and I didnt notice. Yikes
