Late 1990s Astrodome

Below are some WIP images from the Astrodome. I'm starting with the late 90s version then will work my way backwards. Obviously no crowds added in yet, textures still need to be added, etc etc, but wanted to share! Working on Minute Maid and the Astrodome in tandem.

Unfortunately we don't have yellow seating option (when using 3D crowd). Maybe in future OOTP versions we can use more than Grey/red/blue/green.

Further update on my late 90's Astrodome. Starting to add advertisements, railings, bullpens, etc. I'm going to the public library tomorrow to look at the blueprints for the roof so I can start on the roof.

As for the advertisements, I'm making what I can in illustrator as I'm a graphic designer so there can be hi-res ads in the stadiums. Might seem extra but once I'm all in, I'm all in!

Completed the roof and have been painting the skylights to try and get the right lighting in the dome like in real life. The roof was by and far the most difficult part of the project. Still in progress as a whole but with the roof done, we are closer to the end. The good news is that the file with the roof in it is under 10MB so it should not end up being very big at all!

This is the Dome I grew up in. Don't really have memories of the big scoreboard they had to remove to please Bud Adams, who then moved the Oilers anyway.

I do, and I'm still pissed about it.

Back on topic, this version of the Dome still looks really great. Looking forward to both versions when they're done.
