Is it impossible to buy OOTP 25 at this point? I'm trying to purchase a product key or Steam code so I can join an online league, but I can't seem to figure it out. I can't image a company would prevent customers from purchasing their product, but I can't seem to find a way to give them my money. Maybe it has something to do with the change in ownership?

Any help is appreciated. Also, if anyone has an extra code or key, I'd love to buy it from you.

I think since it's an officially licensed product, the publisher is legally prohibited from selling 25 now that 26 has been out. Developers have mentioned something like this many times before, right here, on boards.

While I sympathize with your problem (I think at least the last game, if not 2 or 3, should be available for purchase, we certainly shouldn't expect online leagues to update to the latest OOTP immediately), asking to buy or share an "extra code or key" has long been against the forum's rules. So please don't.

As for the reason why you can't buy them through the providers anymore, I'm not sure. I've seen a few reasons proposed: discontinued live services support (I think that was the only official reason given, but why not then change the provider going forward?), discontinued license support (I doubt it's this), league licensing (I could definitely see this being the reason), the company wanting to make more off the higher price of the latest version (I like to think it's not this). Whatever the reason, it is what it is, but if enough people ask for at least the last being made available for online league support, then maybe they'll change their mind.

It should be noted that if anyone wants to buy a previous version to upgrade to the latest (like say you have 24 and want to upgrade to 26), you don't have to get a license for the middle version(s). Just download the demo of the previous version(s) you need and the demo will allow you to convert your league.

But for online leagues, sorry, I don't have a better solution for you. :/
