contraction

Hello all. I am long time lurker of spreadsheet baseball. My 2016 Cubs save it now in the year 2038. There had been a couple of expansions over the years. What I would like to now do is a contraction. Remove the parent team and it's affiliates. How do I go about doing this? I'd like the players to become free agents, unless there is a better option. Thanks for any idea or suggestions.

You can go to each page of whatever team you are going to get rid off, at the start of the off-season, use the tag control and make them all free agents by clicking on "release player" then once you have all the players released, go into MLB, league settings, and click on edit league structure and then click on remove team.

Technically you do not have to remove the MiLB teams as they will become unassociated with any teams once you delete the parent team BUT, you can go through each league settings and edit each league and delete the MiLB teams as well.

Then once you have all the teams you can removed, gone... make sure you hit the generate new schedule (which is under the "Edit League Structure" area in the right right hand corner.

This should give you the effect you want, I believe.

When you delete teams the players will automatically become free agents, no need to manually release them first.

I was not 100% sure on that so that's why I didn't mention that so thanks.
