Statistical Errors
I'm managing the 1963 Yankees in the 1963 American League season and have noticed the following aberrations after 97 games:
(1) Five position players are showing more than 97 games played, i.e., Tom Tresh has appeared in 104 games! Also, several starting pitchers have been credited with additional games started. Their total number of games started exceeds the number of games the team has played. Pitchers' game logs show several instances of ZERO innings pitched and a started counted. (2) Mantle and Maris have each ended up on the injured list for 255 games, yet no reason is given. Then, Maris is off the injured list (Thank Goodness!), but Mantle remains on. |

Not sure about the pitching deal, but by chance are you overriding the pitcher assigned to start the game with a choice of your own? |
