Horace Garner
Garner played for the Indianapolis Clowns in 1949 in the Negro American League. He was signed by the Boston Braves in '51 hitting .359 for Class C Eau Claire with 15 HR 90 RBI's and 44 SB's. Horace continued to hit across his minor league career but never rose above Class A. He was already 27 when he signed with the Braves.
I have enclosed three photos . One of Horace Garner wearing the jacket and hat of Cedar Rapids where he was a standout and later lived. The photo is of a middle aged Horace Garner. Included is a team photo and one of Horace Garner signing with the Braves' Hank Pfaff. https://www.thegazette.com/sports/ti...-cedar-rapids/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horace_Garner https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=garner001hor |

Thank you bobw. This is a very sharp closeup of a team photo. DeBusschere at that time was a power forward for the Detroit Pistons and at 24 their player coach. .He also pitched well in MLB when given the opportunity . If basketball was off the table DeBusschere could have easily been front line starter for a number of teams. It's interesting to see how he towers over Clinkscales himself a tall man.

Looking for a Twins farmhand Bill Hahn who played in their system from '66 to '70 topping out at AA. Apologies in advance for using a quick reply to post this but I had double posted a comment and could not delete the entire comment. So I chose to utilize this space. Thanks in advance for any assistance in finding an image of this player.

Patsy Tebeau, a Pirate farmhand with a forkball ... my first thought reading this and looking at him was Roy Face. He being a Pirate great and a master of the forkball. Their is a facial resemblance. Good post thank you.

David Gourieux
Here is Atlanta Braves farmhand David Gourieux. A righthanded pitcher in the Murray State University Hall of Fame. Gourieux reached AAA in 1971, '72 and '73. He pitched well at the lower levels but was average at the Triple A level.
I have submitted photos of Gourieux as a high school player for Paducah Tilghman in Kentucky, a Murray State Racer and as a Rapid City Chief while pitching in a college summer league. https://goracers.com/honors/hall-of-...id-gourieux/70 https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=gourie001dav https://attheplate.com/wcbl/1966_80b.html |

Bill Sluka
Bill Sluka was briefly an outfielder in the Red chain in 1967 playing in the Northern and Appalachian leagues. This is Bill Sluka as a right fielder for the University of Denver Pioneers in a photo dated 1964, I have included the back of the photo which gives his position and batting average for that year. Sluka was drafted in the 71st Rd of the '67 draft.
Their is also a John Sluka in the BR , a Michigan native two years younger than Bill Sluka. Some of Bill Sluka's autobiographical information is missing so I have not yet been able to confirm if they are brothers. https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=sluka-001wil |

Dick Stigman 1954, Johnny Bench 1965
From the current RMY auction, the Buffalo Bisons batterymates of May 3 1967 relax after Stigman's 13-K performance.
