Custom Menu Issues (global vs local)

I'm having trouble getting all my custom menus to transfer. Some do some dont.

What is the difference between global and local saves when customizing? Really confused by this.

Like for example when using global I cant seem to set page defaults.
The menus I'm not getting to transfer are related to the player specific pages.

Thanks

This will help with moving your views - https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=343588

The difference between Global and Local - I have a custom view for team batting page. If I save as Local, that view is only available when I'm on my Team Batting Page. If I save it as Global, I can use it anywhere in my league, such as the FA page or Draft page.

Is it possible to assign a global menu to the top of a page so it’s the default. Can only find how to do this with local.

It looks I got all my views through the issue is though if i click directly on a player those stats don’t pull thru as they appear to only ever be local.

Create a custom view on a page such as team batting, save as global. It should stick as the default view. Mine do.

Custom views for player pages have to be set by first opening the players "Batting Stats" Tab, then from the "view" drop down, select edit. From there you can create your own custom view for the individual player page.

Here is a video on how to accomplish that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcPs...q-DZY&index=44

It seems like 26 is handling player pages differently. Those cant be saved or used globally. They appear soley local and are not carrying forward. Everything else has so I'm really confused.

Actually they can be saved if you create your own as shown in the video.

There's no Local/Global option for player pages. They will transfer with your views as per the link I provided previously.

I've tried copying my user.dat and tables folder from OOTP 25 to 26 like I always do, but my old custom views don't show up in OOTP 26.

Did you exit and close OOTP 26 before moving the user.dat file over. If you don't close the game after opening the folder containing the app.cfg and engine.cfg, then it won't work.

Basically, start 26, go to trouble shooting tab, open the folder containing the app.cfg and engine.cfg, then make sure to exit OOTP before you replace the user.dat file.
