OOTP 26 Public Beta UPDATE: 26.2.50

Hello everyone!

We are close to fully releasing this patch officially, but wanted to get a few final fixes in before launching it officially. So we will put out a new public beta version, 26.2.50, right now, with the aim to have this fully released tomorrow if all goes well.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

Changelist 26.2.50

• Fixed Mac overheating
• Fixed Korean rendering in-game
• Updated Korean translations
• Adjusted Honkbal default stamina setting

• Update splits adjustment on import (should be less aggressive)
• Opening Day roster updates
• Updated KBO rosters including adjusting to the 2025 licensed players
• Improved in-game memory usage/rendering speed
• Fixed Live Start games mismatch, players on wrong teams
• Fixed some cases where random debut would pick an incorrect year for a player
• Updated historical sac bunt ratings, balance
• Fixed waiver claim order
• Fixed historical exhibition page mouse-over
• Fixed position not showing up in midterm emails for Learn New Position development program
• Fixed scouting accuracy on draft combine screen displayed not updating immediately when advancing a day
• Added clarifications to PPI eligibility on the player contract screen
• Fixed None selection in nation lists
• Reverted Camden Yards upgrades (causing issues for Mac users - will investigate and update)
• Fixed inconsistency in potential ratings relative display
• Updated new KBO logo/uniforms
• Fixed FG models not appearing in-game
• Fixed player search issues
• Fixed PT Is Active filter
• Fixed crash advancing in some Tournaments
• Fixed extra items in player action list
• Fixed 3d stadium scoreboard count showing post-action result
• Fixed socks loading from colors.xml
• Fixed players on wrong rosters from 48
• Added missing MLB manager records
• PT: fixed login reward text
• PT: fixed PT Live player sort and open game buttons
• PT: added nation to card export and the button “open folder” to the dialog
• PT: Fixed ask AI for strategy
• PT: Updated stamina calculation for early era tournaments
  ** Note: To fully fix, this will require both updates to the client as well as the server. We will advise when the server update has been deployed, until then there may be a mis-match in what the client displays vs what the server uses for SP. That should occur early next week, when this release is fully live.
  ** Adjusts early era fatigue recovery so likely will need 4+ SP for most tournaments
• Misc UI fixes, text updates, and general fixes

Important info for online leagues: This patch should be compatible in online leagues

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 26 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 26
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code: ootp26betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Tested the conversion changes. Still looks like some issues with hitters specifically vL need to be ironed out but much better than before.

Draft round changes from my setting of 30 to 39 when I get to the draft

Really annoying having to change it back to 30 on the day of the draft

Curious about what you mean by Opening Day rosters?

For the Mets, there are literally 5 players in the starting 26 roster who weren't on the actual starting roster. And five players missing....

As I mentioned in the previous thread, this really just means players are in the right orgs, injuries are updated, ratings tweaked etc through OD.

Where exactly the players get assigned and what roles they have is up to the AI, and will not perfectly match real life. We adjust the ratings some to encourage the AI to make the 'right' choices as much as possible but this will never match 100%.

The Mac heat issue appears to be fixed. Only played one game so far, but it seemed to be back to normal.

It'll be whatever is posted as the official patch after it's ready. If .50 has no issues it should come out as .50.

It went from .48 to .49 and then .50 because either something didn't work right and it needed to be fixed. Or something that wasn't on the original list was added, meaning a new version number, ie patch .50.

Looking at the first post I think it's just a typing error when they "wanted to get a few final fixes in before launching it officially. So we will put out a new public beta version, 26.2.50". Then the list for .50 which he mistyped as .49 leaving us two .49 lists. Matt also states that if all works as intended the patch will be out today. If things don't work and something else needs to be fixed/redone, or they decide to add another item there would be a .51 beta.

This patch should come out after beta with the same number as the last beta build that is tested and ready. .48 and .49 were tested and determined to not be ready. .50 is now being tested. It's following the same path it always does, nothing to worry about.
