Build it and they will come didn't work. It seems it takes more than that. So what's next? This isn't easy. Success probably comes after trial and error.

THIS must be a great idea. My consistent detractors didn't show up en masse to argue against it. They didn't show up HERE either.

So Com2Us gets to use your labor for free. Gee. I guess it’s a bit much to expect a company who receives money for their product be able to produce a competent manual.

Whoever said Com2us asked me to do it, who said anyone asked at all, I never said if I was or was not compensated for my time and work. next off, Com2us and OOTP are two different entities. If they were the same company, then OOTP would have access to the rights and licenses of com2us and they do not and even Markus has said that.

I kind of thought you were in charge of the Wiki but wasn't sure. Thanks for the confirmation.

Anyway, as "the buck stops here" guy, could you possibly address posts 31, 40, and 41 in this thread? Thank you.

I hope they do compensate you for your labor. No one should do that level of work for nothing

Twins, as the face of the Wiki, please graciously acknowledge this complement. Engage with the public. That is part of having the position. The post was not sarcasm.

So what is the content of the Wiki supposed to be, exactly? I keep adding a note about when the Color Barrier is enabled since I figure that's an important detail to know when creating a historical start but it keeps getting reverted.
Kind of want to know what exactly I'm allowed to do on there.

Could you post a link to what you tried to edit? Thank you.

Not sure if I'm linking correctly, but:
https://wiki.ootpdevelopments.com/in...244&oldid=2241 I'm masternachos, on the left.

Basically just added "The Color Barrier is active beginning in 1884." under the "The Early Years" section. If you start a historical game before 1883, the color barrier isn't on by default; 1884 to 1946, it IS on by default.

Twins, this seems like reasonable information for the section. If the dates are incorrect, why not edit in the correct dates

If the information is correct maybe you think the information isn't quite right for the section. But why not leave it anyway? The Wiki is desperate for contributors and discouraging anyone is a really bad idea.

In used to be 1884 but it comes on immediately after the 1884 season now. It coming on after 1883 was an error that hid Fleetwood Walker.

Yep, just checked: starting a game in 1884 does not have the color barrier enacted by default, starting a game in 1885 DOES.
Still seems like something the wiki should note, maybe?

It belongs. Instead of being reverted the date should have been corrected.
