OOTP found that the crashed_on_startup_flag is set

Anybody know what this error message means? My game crashed and I got this message when trying to restart OOTP. Now I can't restart the game, I keep getting this message but it won't restart. I tried reinstalling the latest patch but that didn't help. I would uninstall the game but won't have a license key available since I already used the second on another laptop.

nvm - the game finally restarted after about the 10th try

I have the same problem. However, I also get a message about the " misc cust data" not being found. Did you get that too? I'm playing on an M2 Mac. Are you on a Mac or PC?
