Unhappy Bug Caused Wrong Players to be Dropped

Siming through seasons on OOTP26 and at the end of the 2028 spring training I decided to clear the has beens and never will bes from my minor league system. Used the dots to select multiple players and used right click to drop multiple guys at the same time and never selected any players from my MLB roster, yet after I completed clearing out my minor league system, six players were missing from my MLB roster. Found them listed in the Free Agent pool. Never even got a pop up to alert me to the salary implications of dropping a player from my MLB roster.

Out of the box (steam) with no mods.

1) reporting this bug for investigation
2) Didnt realize that it wasnt saving backups … an autosave feature defaulted to enabled would have saved me some pain.
3) Is there a way to undo whatever I did or restore those players to my roster.

On a side note, its really annoying to have the scouting automatically switch to OSA from my team scout on the manage rosters screen any time I click to interact with anything.

Go to the Manager's Office, turn on Commissioner mode, go to the released players. Open their player editor pages, go to bottom lefthand side, put them back on your team.

Thanks. Will try that.

Uploaded photos to show players were just set to released and their salaries even disappeared from my books.

I told them weeks ago that this was happening in threads about DFA issues.

I had 7 players that were out of time in DFA that I had not DFA'd. 4 of those players were rated better than other players on the ML team they were DFA'd from. I went in and manually released players that I would prefer to lose, around 20 in all. I placed the 4 I wanted to keep back on the team they were originally on. I then released the 3 remaining players in DFA and simmed on. I didn't remember to check my Major League team roster but I should have because at the same time I released the 3 players it also released my starting catcher, first baseman, and second baseman from my ML team. I simmed 11 days before stopping because I had a player whose rehab time was up. When I went to place him back on the ML roster I noticed that the 3 players were gone from my team.

The problem with the process to put them back on your team that was posted above is that their previous contract is gone. They will be on a 1 year minimum contract. You are better than me if you can remember all your players contracts by heart.

Have you updated to the most recent release? This was reported before and should have been corrected in one of the recent updates.
