With recalc and dev, low draft picks who turned into stars real life are, in a save, going to be stars as they were or near stars or superstars. Until OOTP starts taking out some of those players with career ending injuries at a young age, there isn't a reason to turn career minor leaguers into stars or super stars.

THIS must be a great idea. My consistent detractors didn't show up en masse to argue against it. They didn't show up HERE either.

Yeah, would be a fun alternate history. If I'm not playing with recalc on, something like this is a nice flavor. Works the opposite too. A Barry Bonds or Mickey Mantle turning into a slap hitter would add some enjoyment too

I like whatifs, but even with recalc off, I can't stomach that much of a jump from reality.

Yes. It's not a plausible alternative reality.

Got to see the Pirates beat the Orioles 15-5. A few days later the Orioles no hit the Pirates. Also saw a game against the Phillies where the Pirates were behind 2-0 bottom of the ninth, walk, double that did not score the run, SF, SF, solo HR.

The Diana Ross concert was great too!

Keep posting about him. I always find these things interesting.

However, in same breath, I’ve seldom did retro-leagues.
Boyett was a FA after 1973. He signed with the Braves 6 x $750k with the last year a player option at age 32. He's five stars June 1974,

He's tied for the second highest paid player with Don Sutton. Joe Morgan is first at $780k

Which does TCR represent - likelihood of change (dice roll) or degree of change should change occur? Or both??

I asked that question once and believe there was no clear answer given.

My league is in 1974. I am using LTMs from running auto-calc on a 1974 replay league. That gives me the correct environment for 1974. (Background in THIS THREAD and ANOTHER THREAD) With better pitching talent scoring is down.

Some people might say adjust the LTMs but the pitching talent in this league is better than historic. Output is right for the talent.

However the talent is not realistic because so many career minor league pitchers are rated higher than historic pitchers. I can see 10% but how could so many real life scouts be wrong that we're over 30%? So instead I'm going to cut down the number of career minor league pitchers in MLB.

I'm considering allowing a total of two per team with a max of one SP. Another considering is to put a limit based on the ratings, perhaps 6 stars of career minor league pitchers per team. But maybe 6.5 or 7. Don't know.

I'm in July so I have some time to obtain and consider suggestions.
