Makes zero sense to me. Based on your settings in your screenshots, the Dimaggio's and Mize should not even be in your league until 36 and 37.

Since you're using fictional minors, by chance did you select the option for the game to maintain full minor league rosters? If so, did you also tell the game to prohibit the fictional players the game creates to fill minor league rosters from ever making the Major Leagues?

David Watts, on a one to ten scale what do you think: I tried being a beta tester but I'm too alpha.

I'm not testing until OOTP starts making sticks of butter.

Look, don't know what else I can tell you. Am playing the game same way as last 17 seasons and AFAIK all players have no problems entering league. But thanks again for the follow ups !

If you're still in 1933, check and see if Augie Galan is in your league?

Also, did DiMaggio and Mize import as part of the games yearly import of new players, or did you manually import them?

Gets more depressing

This just gets more depressing. Galan debuted IRL in 1934. Here, he goes through the OOTP routine of being drafted earlier, signed, named #1 prospect, then released. Lost track of how many times this happens in OOTP where a player is listed as a high prospect then within weeks is released.

Galan was signed in one of the seasons I didn't run a draft. So that makes sense. Nothing else about his history does.

Do me a favor, do a screenshot of the same type pages you did for Mize and the DiMaggio's of Lou Gehrig and Hack Wilson.

This isn't Murder She Wrote. Just trying to figure out what's going on. You brought this up in another thread as well, so it must be something you want solved. Based on the screenshots of your settings, there's no way you should have those guys in your game at that age.

So as it goes, currently it's 1939 spring training and my AGM just signed FA Bob Feller. Ted Williams however remains a FA despite multiple signing attempts.

This has actually turned out to be a bit of OOTP fun. I can't sign these HoFers myself as that would be abusing the game. However I let my AGM sign the deal (or not as is often the case). Having Feller show up is nice! Adds a bit of unpredictability with the occasional nice surprise.

The drafts obviously are a bit anticlimatic, as all the stars enter as FAs.

My AGM has offered Ted Williams a minor league contract. Ted's holding out for more. Likely dad is providing good advice. AGM more work to do.
