OOTP26 - Cloning, Front Office and Almanac....

Schools is out so just bought OOTP26 - been doing that since OOTP2. :-)

I seem to still be waiting on an option to gray out Cloning, Retiring and Deleting.

I hate having several players selected and accidently Cloning, Retiring or Deleting them and they are so close to the Transaction Button. Be nice to be able to turn them off and on when needed. In 24 years I have never wanted to Clone anyone.... But I have and have ruined my day!

A bug I had in OOTP25 seems to still exist. In Personel screen when giving a coach an extension that coach disappears and then the game crashes, I now do a save after each action, Easy to reproduce - create a new historical game in 1871 - can reproduce at will. A new bug I notice is choosing Front Office you just get a blank screen. If you go to any team screen like pitching staff, you can get to the Front Office.

Almanac Comments now. 2-Way players pitching doesn't appear under Pitching Staff. Their hitting does. It appears that only pitchers appear with their pitching stats. Also, it is just the players at the end of the year. Can we 'borrow' from Baseball Reference a format of showing everyone, the entire season, pitching and hitting stats?

Can we get an option to create the Almanac for each League the day after it's last award is announced and do not change their rosters or team's name or location until after that happens?

Thanks for once again bringing back memories of Strato-o-Matic from my 1960s childhood,without having to buy new cards every year :-)

Yeah, this is annoying, but here's a workaround for you. The day when the off-season starts, go to the option to manually assign all of the awards. On that screen, opt to have the AI pick the players and accept.

Voila! All of the awards are done right at the beginning of the off-season.

I would not play in commish mode if I were worried about accidentally using a commish function

LOL! Been playing that way since OOTP4 or so... hands were steadier then.

I play historical and use baseball reference to put each team's opening day roster correct and then let AI control every team but my Cubs and I make roster moves during the season for my Cubs - play GM only) but use commissioner mode to put each team back together on opening day. In the 1960s and 1970s in my youth I only used National League teams and put an American League team with each NL team so it was more people I knew. I used previous years standings to put worse ALteam with Best AL team and second worse and second best and....

The way I do that now is from 1871 until 1881 only have 6 teams and go to 8 teams in 1882 - assigning free agents to teams from previous season's standings, worse team to best.

I have to admit, I was wrong. As an online league commish, being able to turn this off with the new setting really takes the stress away when I right click a player

My life is changed. I have been making this request since around OOTP10????

Hated cloning an entire roster... even worse, deleting one...

I don't mean for this to sound negative, because I know they have a lot to do, but I do wish that more focus was put into adding these little QoL requests that people ask for. Sure it's not a sexy new feature that they can flaunt, but it really improves and polishes the game
