Using ai for player photos
I have players photos saved for different years to try and mimic aging.
Dont like seeing a young Dimaggio in 1951. Facegen doesn't look good enough for me. So i started messing around with ai and then is what i got. The last photo of the guy in the hat was when i just asked ai to draw a picture of John Conkey. The president of the 1872 Boston Red stockings. I haven't found a picture of conkey but it did get the era right without me telling it. I just told it to draw a picture of John Conkey. Do you think this would be useful? |

While those look really well done, the historical community tries hard to minimize AI usage. This is primarily due to assumptions made by the computer on what the player MAY have looked like.

The ai usage doen't bother me if its not perfect. To me its no different than facegen. I will still have my real photos if i still want to use them. Last edited by BaseballMan; Yesterday at 09:03 PM. |

heres some more.
All from leonardoai except for al barker. Its Aaron Judge, Al Barker (leonardoai), Al Barker (grok), Cal McVey and Ivers Whitney Adams. I wanted to see what it could do to recreate a baseball owner from early baseball with not much information. I did guide it bit on Adams and mcvey. |
