2025 Pirates Replay
As a protest to the Pirates lackluster FO, I have started as the GM on 11/20/2024. My offseason moves have been:
Signed Harrison Bader to a pillow contract, 1 year $1.7 million Signed Ha-Seong Kim for 5 years. $59 million (he's not injured in the game) Traded Jared Triolo for Mickey Moniak in an exchange of disappointing 26 year olds. Signed Andrew Heaney to a 1-year, $2 million pillow contract. Watched Cutch walk for $9.7 million in Colorado, he might lead the league in HR's there; he's always hit very well there.(.315/.411/.585) Signed Joey Gallo for 1 year, $3 million Accepted Jung-Hoo Lee from the Giants (they retained 60% of his salary, so we have him for 5 years at $6.4 million) for AA closer Yoldin de la Paz Traded Billy Cook to the Dodgers with a couple of DSL pitchers for 19 year old CF Eduardo Quintero Traded Joey Gallo, Tsung-Che Cheng, and Braxton Ashcraft to the Royals for Vinnie Pasquantonio. Opening Day Roster SP - Skenes, Jones, Keller, Falter, Heaney RP - Bednar, Santana, Holderman, Luis Ortiz, Mlodzinski, Nicolas, Bubba Chandler (!), and Nick Dombkowski - Wentz got injured late in ST and I was unable to get a LHRP before the season started. C - Bart, Davis 1B - Pasquantonio 2B - Gonzales 3B - Hayes SS - Kim IF - IKF, Yorke LF - Lee CF - Cruz RF - Bader OF - Reynolds (DH), Suwinski Opening Day - Skenes loses 1-0 to the Marlins Game 2 - Jared Jones pitches into the 8th of a 5-2 win as Lee drives in 2 and Pasquantonio ignites a 2-run 9th with a PH leadoff double. Santana with a 2 inning save. Game 3 - Bednar blows a save and Bucs lose 5-4 Game 4 - Nick Gonzales has a 3-run HR, Falter goes 6 scoreless, and Bucs win 4-1. Save to Luis Ortiz. Reynolds to the DL with a hammy, Gorski called up. Game 5 - Bucs lose to Rays 5-1, Bubba debuts with 3.1 scoreless and hitless innings, 2 walks, 6 K's. Game 6 - Skenes goes 3.2 ffor 6H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB 6K and Bucs lose 3-2 despte HR's from Pasquantonio and Bader. Game 7 - Bucs take it on the chin, 8-0, as Jones gives up 4 ER in 6 IP and Ortiz 3 in 2. Next up, home opener vs. the Yankees, Keller vs. Nestor Cortes |
