Freezing on Startup

I was messing around with my save files and changed my startup location but now I get this crash message everytime I load up the game.

After clicking through it, the game freezes at the loading screen.

I've tried restarting and uninstalling the game through steam but the same freeze happens after the message. What should I do to fix this?

"and changed my startup location" stands out to me.

There is likely a configuration file still there pointing to where the game ought to be and that likely survived the uninstall/reinstall. Follow the link on this thread and see if you can find the file. It's just a guess but based on what you said you did and having seen this come up before in various ways after people move stuff, it's probably worth a shot.

Thanks! I followed the thread and got rid of the paths.cfg file and it now loads.
