Where the missions at?

Is it just me, or has this year felt really light on collection missions? Things get really stale when you already have 90% of the missions done but I thought there were more previously and a lot more frequent...

The number of missions has been decent enough, especially over the last few months, but the placement and make-up feels off. A lot of Negro League and Future Legend cards being cobbled into unrelated missions, and a lot of mission trees where there's one key card surrounded by fluff (HOF Parker, Baseball Ref Dazzy). Sure, some of those others are useful tournament cards, but I'm a league guy, and variants go a long way toward voiding the usefulness of otherwise superior cards that can't have variant versions (unless, of course, the devs pull another Honus or Stieb out of their hats).

Not disappointed. Not excited.

I agree with the OP. It has been over 2 weeks with out missons, it seems it has been more of the norm this year versus previos cycles.

17 days and counting and the few I have left to complete the rewards aren't even close to worth what it would cost to complete the missions.

Your mission is to collect all the cards that are not in missions. By not having actual missions, they are giving you time to stock up. I think they are being thoughtful of you by not putting new cards in a mission immediately.

Sound advice. There are usually new cards released as part of the new missions, but it's nice to have the previously-released component cards already rather than be scrambling around to acquire them at two to five times what they cost the day before.

It's not entirely about this week... the whole year has been bizarre.

And if anyone can explain the Iron Fillings and Bronze Builds missions that would be great. Costs about 30k to complete each just to get 4 standard packs. And those are some of the best deals out there.

Maybe it's more that last year felt just right the whole way through, but in comparison this has been a lackluster season from week 1. Not to mention I opened 89 packs yesterday and got 10 cards out of those in total that I didn't already have, and each one was a useless live card. Out of 89 packs, not one card went towards an outstanding mission. That should be impossible.

I thought about going for it but couldn’t justify paying stupid pp for iron and bronze cards.
Sold my Deion Sanders pull for 85000 instead.

it's like this every year. we had the 200k Degrom silver last cycle. people overreact to wanting to finish missions.

this is some of the best time to rip packs. bronzes selling for 5k, even live irons selling for 3k. take advantage of the people with no patience. this is how you make points in this game.

It's not the two Silver packs. It's the mission set overall. If all you have is Bo Knows Bronze then you should be selling the component cards and maybe buying them back later for much less. If you've got the bottleneck mission (Gridiron) and the two other expensive/harder-to-complete missions (Quality plus Power and Speed) then it becomes a matter of patience.

I'm sitting on the good bottleneck card (Brian Jordan) and auto-completed the other two yesterday. Won't lock the Jordan card by completing that mission (3x Silver pack) just in case prices get really stupid, but he's tearing it up so far (.344/.349/.607 and performing like a 10-WAR player), and my team is in first place. Adding Bo for 30K or so will have little to no effect on this week's race, and I can wait until prices drop or until I pull the other cards myself. They're almost all Iron cards, and current prices can't stay this high with Iron cards making up about 2/3rds of all pack content.

I really want to complete the Sandy Koufax mission, but not enough to spend several hundred dollars.

I threw my whole 200k PP stash at it, and bought some of the recent pack specials, and I'm still 4 cards away, 2 of which are 100s.

Maybe in a month.
