Collier's rant sounds like sour grapes to me. Money will come in time. The Ratins go up, the league gets a better tv deal, and then the players association gets to negotiate better terms. About 75% of the publicity in the WNBA is about Caitlin Clark(or more?) so I don't really think they have room to complain. And complaining about refs just makes you sound bad. I could only name 3-4 active WNBA players myself and I consider myself a pretty avid all around sports fan. Seems like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Englebert's statement. Mostly diplomatic rhetoric trying to cool down the temp. But it sounds like a groundswell of comments echoing Collier's sentiments.

Some of this is educated guesswork. The W.N.B.A. doesn’t release official revenue data — Nneka Ogwumike, the head of the players association, has said that even her union doesn’t have exact numbers. But we can piece together an estimate of how much the league makes based on the numbers that have been reported.

They did. They cleaned house of their union leadership after the last CBA.

Hopefully they get a better deal next time then. Between increased revenue and having competition(Unrivaled) maybe we will see some $1M per year WNBA contracts.

The "bleeding cash WNBA" proposed increasing minimum salaries to by $150,000+ & maximums by almost $900,000. How do these billionaires continue to make $ tossing cash like this around?

The NBA are getting a maximum $50M. Either someone is getting underpaid or someone is getting overpaid. NBA attendance is 20M total and WNBA attendance is 2M total. NBA is averaging around 5M on tv while the WNBA is averaging 1M. Doesn't seem 50X higher to me.
