OOTP Gods Strike Again

It's the 2026 season and my revamped Nationals team has been battling for a playoff spot all season. After fading in the division race to the Braves, we spent September leapfrogging with the Mets for the final Wild Card spot.

It came down to the final game of the season, we had a one game lead over New York, but they had the tiebreaker.

Our opponent in the final game was the Reds. Hunter Greene was sharp for Cincinnatti and when our 6th inning rally failed we were down 3-1. I was then unceremoniously dumped from the game to the menus and discovered the game had been called due to weather, negating any chance for a comeback. Needless to say the Mets won their game to claim the final Wild Card spot. A real tough way to go out and something I've never seen before.

Don’t know if you know but in Game Settings you can check a box for no rainouts.

oh wow. As much as it sucks.. its moments like this in the game that remind us OOTP don't care about what you're cooking, it's beating to its own drum..I love it.

Well now we know this is a fantasy game because the Mets actually won to get a playoff spot... haha
reminds me of one time I was playing as the 1979 Orioles and they won the world series instead of losing it and the game crashed before i could save it, wiping the whole thing out....
