Is it just me, or does Skatteboooo look like the best RB in that draft class so far? A lot of hype went to other RBs, but as of right now he looks to be having the most impact. It's still early, and other RBs were really talented as well, so we'll see. I know a lot of Cowboys fans wanted to draft him. |

Giants two wins are vs teams w/a total of 7 wins. Their 4 losses are to teams w/a total of 8 wins. I gotta say. Philadelphia fans had a bad night last night. Eagles lose, Flyers lose, Phillies end their season.

Jimmy Johnson said it best. In order for a bad team to get better, they at some point have to believe they should win. Not that they can win, but they should win. Being bad for so long the Giants simply don't have that confidence. Their rookie QB and RB are probably starting to spread that optimism. They're there to win. |

How Billionaires Broke the NFLs Most Loyal Fans
You know, at least the Romans reduced the price of the Circuses.

I don't think the billionaires care whether or not the fans are loyal. Just that someone is paying for it.
I used to be an avid fan of 3 of the 4 major sports. A moderate hockey fan. It wasn't the prices that soured me on two of the three, it was the product. I don't like how the sports evolved, so I'm left with the NFL. A little over 20 years ago I would have purchased Sunday ticket. But I wasn't switching to direct TV, so I didn't. Now that I can get Sunday ticket, I won't because I don't think the product justifies the cost. The league isn't as exciting to me anymore. So the idea of buying a PSL or season tickets isn't even on the table. |

![]() A $1B from a billion people is worth the same as a $1B from a million. What is reprehensible is politicians giving the public's $ to billionaires. Those same elected officials would probably wail against $ for school lunches, teacher pay & free health care. But have no problem making the vault available to a couple with $8B+.

as with seemingly most industries, the eyes of CEOs and owners have gradually shifted more and more into chasing short term gains over long term reliability

Ah, a rare treat.
First, this headline: "Broncos get 9 sacks and beat the winless Jets in ugly 13-11 win in London". The Brits must be wondering what the heck they are looking at. ![]() Plus, the realization that the Giants played this past Thursday and are off today. You know what this means, don't you? Neither team is on the telly in New York today! CBS and Fox have to broadcast other games for a change. Oh, delight. Carolina Panthers vs. Jerry Jones. Guess whom I am rooting for?

Yes, the Panthers are trying their hardest to make me a fan. Both because they're my local team and they're playing decent ball (gotta love Rico Dowdle) and the obvious bonus pts for downing Dallas.
I have to try to remember to watch Rams-Jags next Sunday morning. It's one thing to forget two Browns games or the Jets, but this one is actually good. I'm still not sold on the Colts, as nice as today's comeback was. They've beaten 4 teams (Dolphins, Titans, Raiders, Cards) with a combined 6 wins and the refs gave them a gift win over Denver. The only real test was the one they lost, against the Rams. Let's see how they do when the schedule turns (Chiefs, Chargers, Niners, Seahawks as well as divisional games still to come). On the flip side, the Ravens look fairly buried, but 4 of the losses were to the Bills, the Lions, the Chiefs and the Rams. Things lighten up notably after the bye. |

It looks like there have been, or will be, 52 games so far. (The total amount of games ÷ 2). Here is the distribution, by team: Why are the Jaguars so frequently honored/burdened? Because there is this consideration: Quote:

Probably the fact that the Jags are rumored to be moving to London at some point has something to do with it and there isn't going to be a Jacksonville uproar if they are scheduled away from Jacksonville.

Why are they putting awful games in London? Who didn't see that coming? The idea is to sell the sport to the fans in Europe, right? You don't do that by sending your worst.
