Woof. That may have been the Jays' last, best chance (bases loaded, top of the 12th). Clayton Kershaw will be going out with a bang after this if the Lodgers go on to win the Series.

P.S., I hope they never go with the automatic runner in extra innings for the postseason.

Oh yes. I remember that from my former Yankee fan days. How long ago that seems, my, my. As I said somewhere here recently, in those days, when the Yankees were out, I would sign off the season at that point. I would be in bed right now, if that were still the case, rather than dealing with tenterhooks with this game! And enjoying every minute!

Even more so, with a runner on 3rd and one out! Oh well.

Ohtani is officially the first player to reach base 7 times in a world series game.

Why walk Mookie, though? Anyway, here comes the 14th.
My body is so not ready for a 14th inning. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Schneider is looking like a genius right now, walking Ohtani and Betts back-to-back, loading the bases. They only needed one more out, and they got it.

Chat GPT says Gehrig(1928), McCovey(1962) and Bonds(2002) with 3 each.

It's like the Jays are walking on a tightrope. How many more chances do they need?!?

You and Markus Heinsohn may be the only two Germans watching at this time!
