The method for the Uniform Maker is to create an image with the front number you want using whatever image editor you want and import it like any other image.
It's possible to add "dynamic" front numbers to the Uniform Maker, but I decided a while ago that it would not be worth my time to do so since the end result would be no different than just placing an image. If/when OOTP adds support for numbers in more places than the jersey backs, then I'll implement something. |

Follow up Q, Eriq...
What is the likelihood of that happening from the dev team? Do you have any inside knowledge of what their thinking on the issue? Just curious. And if I never told you before, Eriq, thank you for all the functionality of the Uniform Maker, as it currently stands. It is a pretty awesome app for this great game.

I don't have any knowledge, unless something's come up on the beta forums that I haven't seen. Regardless, I think the chances of this getting added in OOTP26 are basically zero. Maybe 27, but maybe not.

Vertical name?
This might be too difficult to implement, but would it be possible to have an option to orient the team name vertically if there's a button pad on the uniform? Some teams 100+ years ago would have their team names like that.

Have this been updated to create 19th century and Deadball era unis?

Two button stripe option
Eriq,
What would be the possibility of a striping option like below for two-button pullover style jerseys (basically an option to cut off the Headspoon to match the end of the two button henley)? TIA

I followed the directions on the Youtube video and I'm stuck on the part where you try to import the new unis into the game. Would love a little guidance. FWIW, I'm trying to do this on a Mac laptop.
I did my first run at a weak ass uniform for my first fictional league team. I saved it, relocated the zip file into the jerseys folder, unzipped, and then tried to load the .uni into OOTP26's team info uniform change. But nothing seems to happen. I included some screengrabs... any help would be appreciated. I'm sure I'm just missing a step or something. |

For the uniform, you need to select the *textured.png file.

Thanks for the reply! Oh... do I need to go through each page: ballcap, jersey, pants, socks and tell it to load the file? Is there a way around that? I guess not or else it'd do it. Thanks!
EDIT: Last question! Is it possible to change the location of the names/numbers on the jerseys? Like if I wanted a small number on the front of the jersey, is there a way to do that? Oh and also how do you get the text/color in the uniforms to match the ones in the jersey makers? Do I just need to move the text from the uni folder into the text folder in the OOTP file? And cmcgill is half-right about which file to choose. The "_textured.png" file works, but the default One thing to note is that the fonts must be in the data/jersey_fonts folder otherwise OOTP will ignore it. Quote:
As to which file to select, cmcgill is technically correct in that the _textured.png file works, you can also select the "jerseys_baltimore_stevedores_away.png" file and that should also work, and in fact is the preferred method for OOTP as it will use the height and normal maps created by the Uniform Maker. If you haven't looked at that README.pdf file, I'd recommend you do - it should walk you through everything you need to do. |

It appears I can’t generate a preview nor save the uniform anymore as it gives me an error when I try. Any fix for this? The error is ‘err is not defined.’ |

Thank you for the fix. It doesn't generate within the program but it saves it as a jpg which you can see with your own program. I have a question for you. I have an AMD graphics card. Should I be using amd64. deb?
