SMBA Open Teams

The SMBA is looking for 4 GMs to take control of some teams. We are a newer league just being formed earlier this year. This means that you don't have to fear being scared away by GMs who have controlled their team for 8 real life years.

We pride ourselves on the community we have built over that last few months. Whether you want have some good fashioned ****-talk or fast paced trades both will happen here.

We sim daily with 2 week sims. If you are unable to send an export and need something changed we have a group of people who are more than willing to help you with any changes you may need.

Teams Available:

New York Mets: The Mets have money opening up soon with plenty of quality prospects. They won the World Series just 3 seasons ago and have the foundation for another soon. Given the right ownership a 2nd World Series could be coming to Queens.

Texas Rangers: The Rangers currently have the favorite for AL Cy Young and are currently nearly -8 of their Pythag record. They are in a rough situation, but being the only team to never have a GM; they are in a good position for you to take over and make them great.

Philadelphia Phillies: The Phillies are in rough shape. Their farm is weak and they consistently win ~70 games. They need a major overhaul. If you want to enter a deep rebuilt and build the team how you want it built this is the team for you.

Atlanta Braves: Another NL East team, they currently lead the division after their GM had to unfortunately stepdown after build a great situation. They are currently 20 games above .500 and could be a great candidate if you want to enter a winning franchise.

We have 2 teams available currently for the 2030 season.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Houston Astros.

The SMBA has 2 open slots. We are a newer league on the scene starting just 6 months ago. We are currently in the 2030 season with All-Star voting just opening. With an active group of people in our discord server and many friendly rivalries this semi-competitive league is perfect for people new to online leagues or people who are experienced in them. Every off-season we vote on rules or rule changes suggested by the members, so you have a direct impact in building the league you want to be apart of.

Unfortunately, the previous owner of the Cleveland Guardians was a troll. We are currently talking about solutions to make this franchise a bit more viable. As it currently stands, they are arguably the worst team in baseball and have the worst farm system in baseball. They have very little money to use, but we are trying to find solutions including placing the draft picks they didn't sign on the team and removing some of the retained contracts.

The Houston Astros are just a few seasons off of a playoff run and still have a very solid offense. They do however have some of the worst pitching in the league. If you want a challenge, but the access to the money to solve the issues the Houston Astros are the option for you.
