I once compiled a chronological list of Yankee coaches during the George "I Hate Them More Than I Do Managers" George Steinbrenner era. I think this is the correct sequence:

1983 Art Fowler (fired), Jeff Torborg (shifted from bullpen coach, Sammy Ellis replaced him as bullpen coach)
1984 Sammy Ellis and Jeff Torborg (co-coaches until June 18), Mark Connor (Torborg moved to bullpen)
1985 Mark Connor and Jeff Torborg (co-coaches), Bill Monbouquette (replaced Connor, August)
1986 Sammy Ellis (fired), Mark Connor
1987 Mark Connor, Stan Williams
1988 Art Fowler (fired), Stan Williams
1990-92 Mark Connor

I assume this was what Morgan was wondering about when I caught him with my lens.

From a 2020 RMY auction catalogue, here's Farrell in 1915, in his second stint as the Yankees' pitching coach.

(Or perhaps his first stint, as they were still the Highlanders when Farrell coached there in 1910-1911.)
